Chocolate Iced Coffee

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup ground coffee
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup

Directions

  • 1 Bring water and coffee to a boil in a saucepan.
  • 2 Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes.
  • 3 Pour mixture through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a bowl, discarding coffee grounds.
  • 4 Stir sugar and cinnamon into coffee until sugar dissolves.
  • 5 Let cool.
  • 6 Stir in half and half and chocolate syrup.
  • 7 Chill 2 hours.
  • 8 Serve over ice.
  • 9 Note: To keep coffee from diluting, freeze cubes of half and half and coffee to use in place of ice.
