Long Island Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 55 g caster sugar
  • 60 ml water
  • 3 cups ice cubes
  • 80 ml chilled vodka
  • 80 ml tequila
  • 80 ml white rum
  • 80 ml gin
  • 60 ml Cointreau liqueur
  • 60 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 250 ml chilled cola

Directions

  • 1 Place sugar and water in a small saucepan over low heat.
  • 2 Cook stirring, for 2 minutes or until sugar dissolves.
  • 3 Increase heat to high and bring to the boil.
  • 4 Cook without stirring for 3 minutes or until syrup thickens.
  • 5 Remove from heat and set aside for 15 minutes to cool.
  • 6 Divide the ice evenly among serving glasses.
  • 7 Mix vodka, tequila, rum, gin, Contreau, sugar syrup, lemon juice and cola together, pour over the ice.
